Important PARC Swim Update: Main 50m Pool closure 30 June – 27 July

Dear PARC Swim Members,

Please be advised of facility upgrades that will impact some PARC Swim members.

Rolling Tiling Upgrades – 50m Pool Closure

You will have noticed the planned and essential tile replacement works continuing this term as we strive to keep PARC at its best.

Specialised facilities, like PARC, require regular upgrades to ensure the life of the building remains fit-for-purpose and safe for the community. Now 10 years old, the building has seen incredible usage and we are now embarking on an important stage in our tile replacement project.

The Main 50m Pool will be closed from Monday 30 June – Sunday 27 July inclusive (4 week closure period).

The planned works include tile replacement on the bulk heads at each end of the 50m pool, along with the re-earthing of the 50m pool fixtures. We are also using this closure period to upgrade our balance tank support structure. These essential upgrades will help ensure an improved experience for all our visitors, into the future.

What services are impacted?

  • CLOSED: The 50m pool will be closed from Monday 30 June until Sunday 27 July inclusive, reopening on Monday 28 July.
  • OPEN: Other aquatic facilities will remain open, including the Learn To Swim Pool, Waterslides and Aquatic Playground. PARC Swim members are welcome to use these facilities during the 50m pool closure.

What this means for PARC Swim members

PARC Swim members with classes in the 50m pool (shallow end)

If your class is in the shallow end of the main 50m pool, you will not have scheduled classes from June 30 to July 27 (inclusive). Your Xplor Customer Portal schedule will not show any classes for this period. Lessons will return on Monday 28 July.

All members who have classes in the shallow end of the main 50m pool will receive a ‘no debit period’ during this time so you will not be charged for the month.

PARC Swim members with classes in the Learn To Swim (LTS) pool

If your PARC Swim class is scheduled in the LTS pool, your classes will continue as per normal during the 50m pool closure, and your invoice period will remain the same.

To check where your class is scheduled, please refer to your Xplor Customer Portal, or see the quick reference table below.

Here to support you

We recognise that the 50m pool closure will be a short-term disruption and we thank you for your patience as we undergo these essential upgrades. If you have any questions, please email us at parc.swim@peninsulaleisure.com.au.

With thanks,
The PARC Swim team
