Two months to go: Peninsula Leisure prepares to manage Centenary Park Golf Course

We are now just two months away from an exciting new chapter! On 8 July 2026, Peninsula Leisure will assume management of Centenary Park Golf Course, Frankston’s premier public golf course.

Centenary Park Golf Course has been part of the Frankston community since 1938 and is renowned for its 18-hole, par 72 course, café, pro shop and programs for golfers of all abilities. We are proud to bring our experience managing Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre, Pines Forest Aquatic Centre and Frankston Skate Park to this much loved community facility.

To catch up on the announcement, you can read the blog here.

What this means for golfers

Continuity first
The course will continue to operate as you know it. Our focus remains on a smooth and seamless transition, with no immediate changes to programs planned.

Welcoming our people
We are pleased to share that many current Golf Course staff have indicated they will join the Peninsula Leisure team when we assume management in July. Their knowledge, experience and strong connection to the course are incredibly valuable, and we look forward to supporting them as part of Team PL. This is also great news for golf course users and Club members, ensuring continuity with many of the familiar faces you already know from the Course.

Consistency behind the scenes
Our priority is to maintain a seamless and consistent experience for customers throughout the transition. We are preparing systems and platforms that will support reliable day-to-day operations, including bookings and customer service. Yes, this means you will continue to book your rounds via MiClub as you do now.

Working with the Club
We have been pleased to work with the Centenary Park Golf Club to establish strong alignment and a positive experience for members and visitors alike. We look forward to meeting members and the local golfing community at an upcoming Meet and Greet at the Club on 4 June (time to be confirmed). This will be a great opportunity to connect with the Peninsula Leisure team, hear more about the transition, and ask any questions you may have.

Looking ahead
Over the next two months, we’re focused on ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to your experience. We look forward to engaging with, and getting to know more of the regular users, members and employees of the Course.

Stay in touch
We will keep this blog updated with the latest news as we approach the transition. For any questions, please contact us at info@peninsulaleisure.com.au. We can’t wait to welcome you to the next chapter at Centenary Park Golf Course with Peninsula Leisure – see you on the green!

Have you heard of Incidental Exercise? 🧹🚶‍♀️

Incidental exercise is physical activity that occurs naturally as part of your daily routine! It’s the small bursts of activity you accumulate throughout the day, such as carrying in the groceries, or playing with the kids, that helps you achieve your 30-20-2.

Some examples of Incidental Exercise are:
- Doing housework like vacuuming, mopping, or gardening
- Walking up stairs instead of taking elevator or escalator
- Parking further away from your destination to get your steps up
- Walking during lunch breaks, or having a standing meeting

Remember, all movement counts! 🌟

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.
