Welcome the Frankston Skate Park, your home for all things skate, scoot and BMX.

Opening in 2006, Frankston Skate Park is home to some of the state’s best skate and BMX terrain. The park offers 3,400 square meters of terrain, for varying skills and ages, so we’re sure you’ll find an area that suits your experience. Frankston Skate Park is free and open to the public at all times. Between set hours there are experienced staff working at the park who are there to help with anything you may need.

During Staffed hours, we also have an onsite Kiosk and Shop, so grab a bite to eat, chat to the team about lessons or bookings, or check out our range of skate merchandise and equipment.

We offer regular private and group lessons for all skill levels and abilities. Sessions are all about being happy, active and connected – so let’s have some fun!

  • A small kidney bowl and 12ft big bowl for more experienced riders.

Location

Conveniently located just across the road from Frankston Railway Station, Frankston Skate Park is also accessible via bus routes 789, 790, & 791. You will see the Skate Park right behind PARC (the big pool in Frankston). There is also a car park with plenty of spaces onsite.

  • Weather policy: As the Frankston Skate Park is an outdoor facility all lessons are subject to cancellation due to rain, extreme heat (35+ degrees) or general poor weather. Staff will endeavour to let participants know of cancellations as early as possible.
  • Extra sessions are available on school holidays.

Adult Skate Session: FREE​

Our adults only Skate Session is for those aged 18 and over – Its focus is all about making new friends while learning how to skate and advancing upon known tricks.

Girls Only! – Female-only group session: FREE​

First Push is our absolute beginners group session where we teach the basics of rolling, pushing and getting comfortable riding around the park. We suggest starting here or having a private lesson first.

How do I log in?

  • Select ‘Login’ in the top right hand side of the website, or navigate to https://peninsulaleisure.perfectmind.com/
  • Enter your email address and password
  • If you have not logged in before, please select ‘Signup’ up the top, then complete the fields to create your account

What if I don’t have an email address?
In order to book online via our Xplor Customer Portal, you will need to have a valid email address. If you do not have an email address, that is fine, you can still book in for lessons, but you will need to do so in person at the Shack.

Why does my Customer Portal have Peninsula Leisure at the top?
Peninsula Leisure is the management company that operate PARC, Pines outdoor pool, and the Frankston Skate Park.

Booking into a lesson or clinic

How do I view the Skate program?

To access the program and to book in, please open ther Customer Portal by visiting: https://peninsulaleisure.perfectmind.com/ from your browser.

  • Login to the Customer Portal https://peninsulaleisure.perfectmind.com/
  • Hover over ‘Book’
  • Select ‘Book a skate lesson’ from the drop down
  • From here you can navigate to each lesson type. You can also set the Filters on the left-hand side to see what is coming up.

How do I book into a lesson or clinic?

  • Login to the Customer Portal https://peninsulaleisure.perfectmind.com/
  • Hover over ‘Book’
  • Select ‘Book a skate lesson’ from the drop down
  • From here you can navigate to each lesson type. You can also set the Filters on the left-hand side to see what is coming up.
  • Find your lesson day and time that you wish to book.
  • Select ‘BOOK’
  • This will take you to a page with further information on this class and format. Select ‘BOOK NOW’ again. Members can book in 3 days in advance, non-members can book 2 hours in advance.
  • Tick the family member you would like to book into this class. Select Next.
  • Confirm the payment type – for clinics, this is free. For private lessons, there will be a fee. Select Next.
  • Place your order to book in and finalise. You will be taken to a ‘Thank you’ page so that you know you are all booked in!
  • A confirmation email will also be sent to you.

How do I cancel/withdraw from a skate lesson?

Please do this as early as possible to ensure your spot is available for other members.

  • Login to the Customer Portal https://peninsulaleisure.perfectmind.com/
  • You will land on the ‘My Info’ view
  • Scroll down to ‘Schedules’
  • Select the small arrow on the left hand side to expand the section. You will be able to see a Calendar of your upcoming classes.
  • On the right hand side you will be able see the word ‘Actions’.
  • Click on ‘Actions’ in the far-right hand column for the lesson you wish to cancel.
  • Select ‘Withdraw’ (note – withdraw means to cancel from the class, you are withdrawing).
  • A box will appear that asks you to confirm your withdrawal. Select ‘Withdraw’ to cancel out. (two clicks = successful withdrawal).

Is there a waitlist? How does the waitlist work?

Yes, you will be able to waitlist for lessons that are full.

  • Each lesson has a set capacity. You can continue to book into that lesson as normal until it reaches it’s capacity.
  • Once the lesson is full, the waitlist is activated.
  • A maximum of 10 people can join the waitlist.
  • You can book onto the waitlist in the same way that you book into the lesson, just follow the steps in the booking wizard.
  • If someone cancels out of the lesson, the first person who booked onto the waitlist will receive an email that looks like this:
  • You have 12 hours to respond by selecting either ‘Decline’ or ‘Confirm’ your spot.
  • If you select ‘Decline’ within the 12 hour window, you will be removed from the waitlist, and the offer will go to the second/next person on the waitlist.
  • If you select ‘Confirm’ within the 12 hour window, you will be added to the class and will receive a booking confirmation email.
  • If you select ‘Confirm’ outside the 12 hour window, the links will no longer work, but you will remain on the waitlist and be cycled through to the top again as others confirm, decline or miss the 12 hour window.
  • If you do nothing, you will stay on the waitlist and be cycled through to the top again as others confirm, decline or miss the 12 hour window.
  • When you are on the waitlist:
    • It’s really important to keep an eye on your email inbox so you can confirm or decline your spot.
    • The lesson will not display in your Schedule until you are fully booked into the class.
    • You cannot see which number you are on the waitlist.

The Skate Park Leagues (SPL) is an interconnected skate park competition series that offers local youths who skateboard, BMX and scooter ride, a chance to showcase their skills whilst promoting positive use of council skate parks and skate park culture.

Birthday Parties

Looking for a unique and fun way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Frankston Skate Park parties are a fun focused introduction to skate parks and how they work. We provide a one-hour lesson for a group of up to 16 kids with friendly and professional instructors.

What’s included:

  • One hour lesson
  • Marquee
  • Tables and chairs
  • Skateboard hire
  • Safety equipment hire
  • BBQ & gas bottle

Costs:

$16 per child (min 6 children per party)

Wet Weather:

In the interest of participant safety and in the event of extreme weather conditions, Peninsula Leisure reserves the right to cancel an event or program at short notice. We do have an indoor option at PARC which we can talk about should we need to move or cancel your party due to weather.
