Find Your Purpose at PARC 

Now that the days are shorter and weather is cooling down, it can be difficult to find the motivation needed to keep up with routines. In those moments when you’re struggling to leave your warm, cosy home, remembering your goals and what it is you are working towards can go a long way to keeping you focused, motivated and consistent.  
 
Having your reason for attending PARC front of mind is one of the best ways to get motivated, and it could be anything! Everyone’s Purpose is personal. Whether you’re training for a marathon, wanting to increase your fitness, rehabbing an injury, or simply wanting to get more movement in so you feel good, your Purpose will help you this winter.  
 
We want to continue to support you in keeping up consistency to reach your health and wellbeing goals by asking you – What is your Purpose at PARC? 
 
We’d love to know what motivates you in creating healthy habits and routines at PARC and invite our community to complete this sentence:

We want to inspire and motivate our entire community, so be sure to visit our friendly Health & Fitness team upstairs in the gym and grab a card to add to the decal on the gym wall.

Achieving your 30-20-2 is easier than you think! 🏋️

Our formula is designed so that you can be active anywhere, anytime. We know it can be more difficult to get your movement in when the weather is cooler, so we wanted to share some simple exercises that you can do at home, without any equipment needed.

30-20-2 is all about movement in ways that work for you, so remember:
✅ Moving doesn`t need to be overwhelming. You can break up your exercise into smaller bite size pieces, such as taking ten minutes three times a day to get your movement in.
✅ Everybody`s fitness level and ability is different, so doing altered movements does not have any less of a positive impact.
✅ Prioritising your health and wellbeing goals doesn’t just improve your fitness, it changes how you feel, think, and connect with the world around you.

In June, we attended the Aquatic Recreation Victoria industry awards, where excitingly our very own Mel was awarded the prestigious Membership Sales Award.

Mel’s dedication, and commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive for members has earned her the top prize in 2026. In celebration of this incredible achievement, we sat down with Mel for a Q&A session to chat about her win, journey and what working at PARC means to her.
