Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay

Come along and cheer on local legends as they carry the Queen’s Baton through Frankston City, towards its final destination, the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Opening Ceremony on 4 April 2018. The Queen’s Baton carries a message from Her Majesty The Queen through the entire Commonwealth. The Games are declared officially open when the message is read aloud.

Batonbearers are people of all abilities who inspire others to be great, showcasing their sporting achievements and community contribution to the world. The Queen’s Baton Relay will showcase our magnificent city to a national audience as it travels through Frankston City on Sunday, 11 February 2018, coinciding with the Waterfront Festival. The Waterfront Festival will remain in the same format as previous years, with some additional programming elements added in to accommodate the Relay, possibly even a visit from Borobi the unstoppable Koala which is the 2018 Commonwealth Games mascot.

Date: Sunday, 11 February 2018
Time: 3.30pm-6pm
Venue: Frankston city centre (relay route announced on 17 November)

⭐️ Swimming for a cause: Meet Clinton Hosie ⭐️

This February, PARC Aquatic Access member Clinton Hosie is taking on a new challenge - swimming 14km to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of their Super Swim.

Every minute of every day, a child in Australia is admitted to hospital. Clinton is diving in to help bring joy, laughter, and comfort to sick kids when they need it most.

We love seeing you at PARC putting in the laps, Clinton - your dedication in and out of the pool is inspiring.

Good luck, have fun, and thank you for swimming for such an important cause!

Still buzzing from the Waterfront Festival! 🎡

What an absolutely incredible event! A massive congratulations to our Frankston Skatepark team for pulling off such an massive activation. It was fantastic to see so many local riders on the half pipe, and seeing our community rally around them and enjoying the mini skate lessons!

Rotary Peninsula 2.0's annual Duck Derby was full of fun and chaos! It was so much fun cheering on our very own duck, Percy and Hydro, to the finish line.

Thank you so much @waterfrontfest for having us! We can’t wait for next year!
💙 Happy Valentine’s Day from the PARC Team! 💙
We wanted to take this moment to shout out someone very special in our hearts… YOU!
