Nicole Ross- Customer Service Officer of the Year

We are proud and excited to introduce you to Nicole Ross, the winner of the Customer Service Officer of the Year award at the recent Victorian Aquatic and Recreation Awards!

Nicole has been a part of the Peninsula Leisure team for over 7 years, and in her time has worked across different areas of the business, and has been an important member of our Customer Experience team for the last 3 years.

As Customer Service Officer, Nicole has always gone over and above for members and the community. She is passionate about helping people understand reaching their health and fitness goals are achievable even during the most difficult of times, and always works to deliver the best possible customer experiences to each and every person that visits the Centre.

Nicole is someone who genuinely seeks the best for the community, even if that means stepping outside of her comfort zone. She consistently works beyond her duties, stepping into different teams such as the Creche and cleaning team to help when they need it.

To win an individual award is an incredible achievement, and we are so proud of her.

Nicole, thank you for your commitment to Peninsula Leisure, our members, visitors, and wider community.

If you see Nicole at the front desk, or working out in one of classes (she loves BODYSTEP and BODYPUMP), make sure you say hello, and congrats. Well done Nic.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! 💚💛

This week, our PARC Swim team have organised some Commonwealth Games themed fun, to celebrate our Aussie athletes, who are absolutely dominating this year! 🥇

To celebrate, our PARC Swim teachers will include a small segment in this week’s lessons, using our snakes and ladders game, aligning a swimming activity with a participating sporting event 🏊🏃

Make sure to check out our activity table, and show support for Australia, or any other participating country by wearing their colours to your lesson this week!
Have you heard of Habit Stacking? 🤔

It's a great way to add movement into your day by pairing small exercises with habits you already do - helping you be active and achieve 30-20-2, even when life is busy!

You can incorporate simple exercises into your daily task, such as:
- Squats while the kettle boils - turn waiting time into movement time.
- Calf raises while brushing your teeth - two minutes of strength, twice a day.
- Lunges down the hallway - every trip becomes a mini workout.
- Marching on the spot while folding laundry- complete some of your vigorous or moderate exercise every trip.
- Glute squeezes while sitting at your desk - perfect for busy workdays.

Remember, all movement counts 🙌
