Important Notice: Rolling tiling replacement works – March to July 2025

Updated: Friday 11 April 2025. This post will be updated regularly as we roll through the upgrades across the Centre.

Keeping PARC in top condition

At PARC, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards for our members and guests.

Specialised facilities, like PARC, require regular upgrades to ensure the life of the building remains fit-for-purpose and safe for the community. Now 10 years old, the building has seen incredible usage and we are now embarking on an important tile replacement project across all changerooms, and some pool areas, from March to July 2025.

What work is being done?

To maintain safety, aesthetics and provide overall improvement across PARC, we will be removing and replacing the existing tiles with high-quality, durable alternatives in all changerooms, and the 50m pool bulk heads. Some space will see a full replacement, others we are replacing grouting. These upgrades will enhance the look and feel of our changerooms while ensuring they remain safe and slip resistant.

When is the scheduled maintenance period?

The works will be conducted in stages from March to July 2025, with planning for minimal disruption to our members and guests.

The first phase will begin upstairs, with the following impacts:

Closures

  • Upstairs female Changeroom – closed 31 March – 29 April
  • Warm Water Pool Accessible Change Rooms – closed 22 April – 2 May
  • Warm Water Pool reception entry – closed 22 April – 2 May
  • Future closures: There will be further closures and impacts running through to July. Check back here regularly.

What does this mean for me?

  • Upstairs female Changerooms: will be closed from Monday 31 March until Tuesday 29 April. Please used the downstairs female changerooms during this time.
  • Warm Water Pool Accessible Change Rooms: will be closed from Tuesday 22 April until Friday 2 May. During this period, please use the Family Change Accessible Change Rooms, or the Accessible Change Rooms upstairs. These will remain fully operational for use during this time.
  • Warm Water Pool entry: will be closed from Tuesday 22 April until Friday 2 May. The Warm Water Pool will remain open, please use the Main Pool Hall entry during this time.
  • Other changerooms and tiled areas (including the main 50m pool bulkheads): Further updates on additional changeroom closures will be provided as the works progress. Please continue to check back here as this blog will be updated every 2 weeks with closure and impact updates.

Thanks for your patience

We understand these temporary, but essential, closures may at times be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve your experience.

For any questions, please speak to a member of our team or email us at member.experience@peninsulaleisure.com.au.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to unveiling the refreshed changerooms soon.
