School Holidays Can Swim Swim Program September 2026

Can Swim 4 Day School Holiday Intensive Program at PARC – September 2026

  • WHO: his program is for school aged children and is delivered in 3 groups:
    • Primary School children aged 5 -10 years old, suitable for beginners with little to no swimming experience or confidence.
    • Pre-Teen children aged between 10 – 12 years old, suitable for beginners with little to no swimming experience or confidence.
    • Teenagers aged between 13 – 17 years old, suitable for beginners with little to no swimming experience or confidence.
  • WHAT: Throughout this 4 – day program, participants will gain confidence, learn essential water safety and survival skills helping them feel more comfortable joining friends in and around the water. The program supports school students aged 5 – 17 years old to develop independence, make safer decisions and avoid potential risky situations in real-life settings whilst recreating in and around aquatic environments. Classes will be separated by age and ability.
  • WHERE & WHEN: 4 day program at PARC.
    Tuesday 29, Wednesday 30  September, Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October 2026 commencing at either 10.30am or 11.15am.

  • COMMITMENT: 1 x 40minute session, over 4 days. Plus a short survey at the commencement and conclusion of your program.
  • COST: Fully subsidised, thanks to the support of our partner Frankston City Council. We ask that you complete a pre and post program survey for us to measure outcomes and skills learnt.

Who is this program for?
School students aged between 5 – 17 years old of the Frankston community who has no or Low swimming ability

When will I find out which class I have been allocated?
Confirmation of place in the program and specific class will be emailed at least one week prior to the program

What do I do if I cannot attend a class?
If you are unable to attend a class, unfortunately there are no makeup classes available. Please consider your availability to be able to attend every class over 4 days of the program.

Do I need to complete a pre and post survey?
Yes – to be part of this program you will be required to complete a short pre and post survey.

Do I have to stay at the centre with my child for the duration of their lesson?

PARC is an endorsed Watch around Water safety centre, please see relevant information below to your child/children’s age.

As per our Watch Around Water Safety policy

  • All children between the age of 5 -9 must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian 18 yrs or older who must always remain in a clear line of sight.
  • All children between the age of 10- 12 must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian 18 yrs or older who shall always remain accessible in the centre.
  • All children aged children over the age of 13 are not required to have a parent/guardian in centre however we strongly encourage a parent/guardian to stay for the duration of the program.

Do I need to pay anything for the program?
No – this program is fully funded.

What do I need to bring to my swimming class?
Bag with belongings  – lockers will be available for hire to place valuables
