Meet the trainer: Joel

 Congratulations to Joel, who recently celebrated his 8th year at PARC! Joel is an asset to the PARC fam! He is a qualified personal trainer who PT’s clients 1:1 and 2:1 specialising in strength & condition, improving body composition and improving sports performance. Working closely with his PT clients, Joel designs a tailored program specific to his client’s goals. Joel also carries out Small Group PT sessions, where the focus is to build a strong foundation of the main movements and learning to progress and improve over time. Love ordering in dumplings and watching a series on Netflix.   What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I’m a massive Harry Potter fan and I have seen all the films and can quote lines from every movie.   What advice would you give to anyone starting their own fitness journey? Aim to create a routine and a structure to your week with your training and nutrition. Where you introduce one habit at a time and build from there. Learn to enjoy the process and not focus on the end goal. Lastly be kind to yourself. It's Men's Health Week! 🏋️‍♂️

We wanted to take a moment, and share some ideas on how to incorporate more movement into your day: 
🚶 Go for a walk after a meal
⚡️Use the stairs instead of the elevator 
💼 If you work at a desk, try and get up and move or stretch every 30 minutes
💪 Aim to do two strength sessions per week 
😄 Exercise with friends!
