Applications closed: Our next PARC Swim STAR program!

Know someone who’d be a great swimming teacher? Expression of Interest for our next STAR (Swim Teacher Active Recruitment) Program is now open and closes Monday 16 September.
 
Our PARC Swim STAR Program allows you to become a qualified swimming teacher and get paid while you undergo your training.  
 
What’s included in our STAR Program?  
•Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Course – paid for  
• CPR Course – paid for  
•Working With Children Check – paid for  
•In water shadow training hours to become a qualified swimming teacher – paid for  
•Offer of employment as a swimming teacher with PARC Swim at the conclusion on your program!   
 
Important dates (if successful):
Monday 16 September – 5.30pm -7.00pm
Sunday 13 October – all day
Wednesday 16 October – 4.00pm-6.00pm
Monday 21 October – 4.00pm-6.30pm

 
To apply, simply complete an Expression of Interest on our website here, as well as attend our Information Night next Tuesday the 12th of March, 5.30pm – 7.00pm. Expression of Interest close on Tuesday the 12th of March at 5.00pm.

🛝 Waterslides: 10am – 6pm
☕️ Café: 8am – 5pm
🏊 PARC Swim: No lessons
🏋️‍♀️ Group Exercise: Reduced timetable — book your spot via the Customer Portal or the Peninsula Leisure Xplor app.
️ PARC Plus: Keep up your routine over the long weekend with our on demand digital Fitness Platform, PARC Plus.

Join us in going off social media for a day on 24 October.

This Saturday, on 24 October, we are joining Unplug24, a 24-hour break from social media in solidarity with SmackTalk – an organisation founded by local Wayne Holdsworth to honour his son, Mac, and raise awareness around suicide prevention.

Unplug24 encourages us to step away from social media and reconnect offline to:
🔌 Protect mental health
🔌 Raise awareness to prevent suicide
🔌 Support vital education and awareness programs

Let’s join together and unplug from all social media for the day – at work and at home – to show our support for this important cause.

After 8 years as a member, and now an instructor for over a year, Fiona is passionate about bringing energy, fun and encouragement to every class. She wants everyone to feel comfortable trying new things, challenging themselves and seeing what they can achieve while enjoying the journey in a supportive, compassionate environment.
