PARC Treasure Island – Summer School Holiday Program January 2024

Ahoy matey! Get ready for a summer of swashbuckling fun at PARC!

Gather your pirate crew and explore a far away Treasure Island, right in the heart of Frankston!

Begin your pirate adventure at PARC these school holidays where we have created the ultimate escape for the whole family. Sun too hot outside? No problem, PARC’s got you sorted with an indoor Treasure Island school holiday program, suitable for children of all ages.

What’s in store?

Hunt for buried treasure, zip down the waterslide, explore the multi-story aquatic playground, splash bucket and meet a real-life mermaid!

What’s on the program?

We have a stacked program of fun pool deck activities including:

  • Face painting
  • Balloon entertainment
  • Treasure Scavenger hunt
  • A special visit from Marianna the Mermaid

Marianna the Mermaid is BACK!

Back by popular demand, Marianna the Mermaid will be making a splash.

One of our favourite sea guests is coming back to PARC! Marianna the Mermaid and her Pirate friend will be mingling with land walkers, taking photos, spreading mermaid glitter and taking lots of photos!

Marianna will be visiting PARC on Friday 5 January and Friday 19 January. There are no tickets to meet her, but please expect a busier than usual centre.

How do I buy tickets?

You do not need to pre-book or buy a ticket to attend PARC Treasure Island. Instead, you must purchase an all-inclusive entry pass at PARC reception. You can view prices here on the casual entry tab.

Unfortunately, there is no inflatable available during this time.

The dates and details

Our school holiday program will run weekdays from Tuesday 2 January to Thursday 25 January between 11am-3pm.

Activities will run on select days, so be sure to check our calendar below for dates and times for all our pool side entertainment.

We will also be hosting VIC Swim Intensives at PARC

Please expect a busier pool hall at times.

Throughout January, we run intensive swimming lessons during the school holiday period. This can mean sections of the pool is being used by teachers and students for lessons.

Lessons will run until 1.30pm during Week 2 of the School Holidays (8-12 Jan) so please plan your trip accordingly.

We look forward to seeing you in Centre!

Have you heard of Incidental Exercise? 🧹🚶‍♀️

Incidental exercise is physical activity that occurs naturally as part of your daily routine! It’s the small bursts of activity you accumulate throughout the day, such as carrying in the groceries, or playing with the kids, that helps you achieve your 30-20-2.

Some examples of Incidental Exercise are:
- Doing housework like vacuuming, mopping, or gardening
- Walking up stairs instead of taking elevator or escalator
- Parking further away from your destination to get your steps up
- Walking during lunch breaks, or having a standing meeting

Remember, all movement counts! 🌟

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.
How cute it this?! 🦄

Our Cafe team always know how to add a little magic into your day! ✨

Help us ensure PARC is a safe venue for the whole community to enjoy 🏊

At PARC, we participate in the statewide Watch Around Water program. Watch Around Water is an education and public awareness-raising program that defines the minimum supervision requirements for children in a pool setting.

When visiting PARC, your child will be given a coloured wristband, based on their age. These wristbands help our lifeguards identify the level of supervison required for your child, and support a safe aquatic environment for everyone.

Did you know that our vision is that 'Every Child In Frankston Can Swim'? 🌳👶

The Rotary Peninsula 2.0's Birth Tree is one way that's helping us to achieve this vision.

By joining this year’s Birth Tree, you will receive a timeless tribute of your loved one in the form of a tree and plaque. Equally importantly, $45 of every contribution goes straight back to the community to help more children build confidence in the water, with free infant swimming lessons through the Can Swim initiative. 🏊

You can purchase a place for a baby born this year on the Birth Tree here: https://events.humanitix.com/parc-2026-birth-tree-and-family-garden
