Splash Island comes to Frankston: PARC unveils new aquatic attraction

Media Release, Wednesday 18 September 2024

Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) in Frankston is excited to announce the arrival of the newest addition to its lineup of fun and engaging water activities: Splash Island, an inflatable floating obstacle course. This innovative feature is set to bring a splash of adventure and energy to the Frankston community, offering a dynamic, fun, and active experience for all ages.

The new PARC Splash Island is an inflatable, on-water obstacle course designed to provide hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike. With a series of challenging obstacles, slides, and balance beams, this attraction encourages physical activity in a safe and supervised environment.

“Our new aquatic installation is a testament to PARC’s commitment to community engagement,” said Kath Thom, CEO of Peninsula Leisure. “We are always looking for new ways to enhance the experience for our members and visitors. Splash Island provides a fresh, exciting option that brings adventure, water safety and physical activity together, making it a fantastic addition to our current offerings.”

“In preparation for the launch of Splash Island, our team have completed extensive training, and we’ve implemented comprehensive safety protocols to ensure a fun and safe experience for participants,” said Ms. Thom.

The introduction of Splash Island aligns with PARC’s mission to continually reimagine its facilities and programs, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the community. Prior to COVID-19, PARC delighted visitors with Splashy McSplash Town, a beloved inflatable that set the stage for family fun and aquatic adventure. Splash Island builds on this legacy, with the inflatable’s design catering to a wide range of ages and skill levels, making it a versatile addition to PARC’s aquatic offerings.

Splash Island hits the water in time for the September School Holidays, splashing down at PARC on Monday 23 September. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, race against friends, or simply have fun in the water, Splash Island promises an unforgettable experience.
