Father’s Day Inspo

Sunday is Father’s Day, our chance to say thanks to all the legendary Pappa Bears out there. It will certainly be a different Father’s Day this year, with activity options very limited. To help you celebrate the day with your special man, here’s some inspo for activities from PARC:

Give him an Online Personal Training Session

Why not gift your dad or partner an Online Personal Training session from PARC? With group sessions available, you could both sign up and workout together from your homes! To determine which trainer might be best for your dad, please email healthandfitness@parcfrankston.com.au to get started with this gift idea!

Do a Family Session on PARC Your Way

Give him time to workout alone

In iso, with your whole family home most of the time, it can be hard to have the time and headspace to workout without the distraction of fatherly responsibilities. PARC Your Way has over 400 classes that your dad can do this Sunday to help him feel good about himself. Check out some inspo below.

Have you heard of Incidental Exercise? 🧹🚶‍♀️

Incidental exercise is physical activity that occurs naturally as part of your daily routine! It’s the small bursts of activity you accumulate throughout the day, such as carrying in the groceries, or playing with the kids, that helps you achieve your 30-20-2.

Some examples of Incidental Exercise are:
- Doing housework like vacuuming, mopping, or gardening
- Walking up stairs instead of taking elevator or escalator
- Parking further away from your destination to get your steps up
- Walking during lunch breaks, or having a standing meeting

Remember, all movement counts! 🌟

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.

Help us ensure PARC is a safe venue for the whole community to enjoy 🏊

At PARC, we participate in the statewide Watch Around Water program. Watch Around Water is an education and public awareness-raising program that defines the minimum supervision requirements for children in a pool setting.

When visiting PARC, your child will be given a coloured wristband, based on their age. These wristbands help our lifeguards identify the level of supervison required for your child, and support a safe aquatic environment for everyone.

Did you know that our vision is that 'Every Child In Frankston Can Swim'? 🌳👶

The Rotary Peninsula 2.0's Birth Tree is one way that's helping us to achieve this vision.

By joining this year’s Birth Tree, you will receive a timeless tribute of your loved one in the form of a tree and plaque. Equally importantly, $45 of every contribution goes straight back to the community to help more children build confidence in the water, with free infant swimming lessons through the Can Swim initiative. 🏊
